 Collegiate Riding

Evermore Farm is home to the Georgia Southern University Equestrian Team.  The team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association and competes as part of Zone 5 Region 3.   The GSU Riding Team has consistently been champion of their region and individual riders have competed at the Intercollegiate National Championships.

In the 2006-2007season, team member Kate Randall finished 3rd in Intermediate Walk-Trot division at the Intercollegiate Nationals Championship held in New England. 

In the 2007-2008 season, the hunt seat team place third in the zone overall and the western team placed fourth overall. Team member Kirsten Bulekely was reserve champion in the Cacchione Cup Zone Final.

In 2008-2009 season the GSU western team placed fourth overall in the zone and the hunt seat team placed third overall. Team member Kirsten Bulekely finished fourth in the Cacchione Cup zone finals. Team member Mallory Barrett was the Zone Five Champion in Novice Equitation over Fences. Barrett then went on to win the National Reserve Champion  in the Novice Over Fences division at the Intercollegiate National Championship held in Murfreesboro, TN.

Physical Education Classes:

Georgia Southern University PE Classes are held at Evermore Farm.  There are 6 meeting times for KINS 1216 the Beginner Horsemanship class and 2 meeting times for KINS 2216 Intermediate Horsemanship.  Intermediate riders should be comfortable at a walk trot and canter in either a western or english saddle. 

There is an additional fee for this class.  Please see the course catalog for more information. 

Riders need transportation to the farm.

Classes are not held during the summer semester.  Fall 2009 classes will begin in August
